Santiago Torresagasti’s research is linked to the moving image.
The moving image as recording and restitution, whether on paper, on film, or on a digital file, is an artifice created by man, however an element detaches from it which transcends the support and moves autonomously.
An incorporeal and by definition invisible presence, hidden between the frames.
This autonomous appendage is born once the image enters into a relationship with the viewer and, separating, dissolves into the different layers of this relationship: space, consciousness, duration and sensations.
